Western Kenya Climate
Western Kenya boasts of a considerable amount of daily climate records that span at least 10 years. The records can be an important source of climate information, which is needed for planning and decision-making in a wide range of climate sensitive sectors. To enhance their use, the Climate Change Agriculture and Food Security (CCAFS) program funded and supported the consolidation, computerization and quality-checking of these daily climate records. The records were obtained from volunteer weather stations operating in the region. Most of the stations allowed some form of access to the records by researchers and other stakeholders of the climate research community.
